Remote Collections Manager

Key Responsibilities:
Manage Collections Team: Lead, mentor, and train a team of collections specialists to ensure goals and productivity are met.
Develop Collection Strategies: Create and implement processes to optimize debt recovery and reduce aging accounts.
Monitor Department Performance: Analyze and report on collections metrics, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
Compliance Management: Ensure the team complies with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding debt collection practices (e.g., Fair Debt Collection Practices Act).
Customer Dispute Resolution: Handle escalated customer inquiries, negotiating repayment terms or resolving disputes professionally.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with Finance, Legal, and Customer Service to align strategies and address customer accounts effectively.
Report on Key Metrics: Provide regular updates on the status of outstanding accounts, departmental performance, and recovery goals.
Qualifications:
Experience: 5+ years in collections, credit, or accounts receivable with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and motivate a team to achieve goals and maintain high performance.
Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data and implement strategies for improvement.
Knowledge of Regulations: In-depth knowledge of collection laws and regulations, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage with clients and customers professionally.
Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with collections software, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $115,000 - $130,000 per year, based on experience.
Annual Bonus: 10-20% of your base salary, based on individual and company performance.
