JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Regional Fleet Manager, you will work directly with our commercial driving team members and our fleet management, dispatch, and leadership teams. This role will be responsible for maintaining our fleet of vehicles, including day cab and sleeper tractors, and a fleet of CO2, Fuel, and Dry Van trailers. Your primary areas of focus will be preventive maintenance, reactive repairs, coordinating with dispatch to ensure equipment availability, and maintaining parts inventory at the shop location and at remote sites. This role will promote, direct, and coordinate fleet repair and maintenance efforts across multiple groups and locations throughout the designated region.
This is an on-site role located in Macon, MO. Responsibilities include:
Coordinate, administer, and monitor the maintenance, repair, replacement, and logistics of company vehicles in our Central Region (MO, KS).
Maintain necessary licenses and certifications for transportation equipment.
Ensure preventive maintenance programs are carried out per schedule and monitor post-performance throughout the assigned territory.
Oversee the performance of vendors and, if necessary, undertake the timely repair and servicing of damaged vehicles to minimize downtime.
Answer calls regarding equipment failures, including after-hours, weekends, and holidays.
Manage the inventory of spare parts for vehicles, in coordination with the fleet manager, in order to ensure an adequate supply and accurate accounting throughout the assigned territory.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
High school diploma or equivalent required.
CDL-A with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, or ability to obtain.
3+ years’ experience in a transportation-related field (trucking, transportation, or logistics).
Ability to travel 50% of the time and sometimes without notice.
Demonstrated ability to remain level-headed and effectively communicate while managing high-intensity situations involving accidents and/or incidents.
Working knowledge of hazardous materials and DOT regulations.
Basic understanding of the basics of Microsoft’s Office Suite, TMW, PeopleNet, or other Transportation software platforms, and are capable of learning new programs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role operates in a Class 8 tractor-trailer shop facility. A shop uniform is provided.
Due to the safety-sensitive nature of this job, you will be expected to pass a drug screen during the pre-screen process.
