Go-Ahead London is the capital’s largest  bus company, operating over 2,500 buses from 17 locations across London. We are now expanding our in-house engineering capability with a brand-new role: Heavy Vehicle Recovery Operator.

This is a rare opportunity for experienced recovery professionals to join a major transport operator directly, taking on a vital frontline role in keeping our fleet on the road and ensuring our millions of daily passengers can travel safely and reliably.

Salary £42,000 based at Camberwell Garage

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating heavy recovery vehicles (HGV/PSV recovery background desirable).
• A valid Category C+E (Class 1) HGV licence with Driver CPC.
• Strong knowledge of recovery techniques, load security, and roadside safety procedures.
• The ability to remain calm and resourceful under pressure, solving problems independently.
• A professional, customer-focused approach when representing Go-Ahead London.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
