- Perform the scanning process according to established procedure in a timely manner.
- Maintain the scanner area and equipment to ensure optimal quality.
- Prepare each document as needed for scanning.
- Assign batch numbers according to procedure, prepares each batch, and organize batches appropriately for indexing.
- Follow through on scanning related issues and/or responsible for routing mail to appropriate destinations.
- Assist staff as needed and/or cover the mail clerk duties when necessary, such as routing the mail to the correct departments and assisting with electronic enrollments.
- File records in appropriate locations per established procedure.
- Review each page for poor originals or items that cannot be scanned, and ensure patient identification is present on each document.
- Responsible for indexing all documents to the appropriate patient folder and for ensuring each document is assigned the appropriate document name.
- Reviews each document as necessary to verify quality and rescans those identified as poor quality.
- One year of previous clerical experience preferred.
- Patient Accounting knowledge strongly preferred.

Pay is based upon relevant education and experience per hour.
