Job Title: Real Estate Asset Manager

Department: State Street Investment Management – Real Estate

Location: Dublin, Ireland

Purpose of the Role

State Street Investment Management is seeking an experienced real estate professional to join its Real Estate Investment team based in Dublin. The team manages Real Estate Funds with over €1.2bn of assets located in Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe.

As an integral member of this specialist team, the role will be to work with the Senior Real Estate Asset Managers in the active management of direct commercial real estate assets within client portfolios, through supporting the Senior Team in overseeing and managing  leasing, refurbishments, sustainability projects, rent reviews, lease re-gears, acquisitions, and disposals , working closely  with external real estate specialists, including property managers , solicitors, valuers, letting agents, and investment agents.

In addition, the role will include analysis and reporting on the overall portfolios , including coordinating  strategy reviews to determine hold/sell strategies for  each property as well  as preparing  internal and external presentations.

 The successful candidate will have strong numeric skills and will play a key role in interacting with other teams across the State Street Investment Management business in Ireland and internationally.

Major Responsibilities

• Working with Senior Real Estate Asset Managers in the active management, acquisition, and disposal of direct commercial real estate holdings located in Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe

• Attribution analysis and reporting on the Real Estate portfolios  

• Support in managing specific projects, working  with external advisers, including letting agents, property managers, solicitors, investment agents, and valuers

• Actively participate as a collaborative member of the Real Estate Investment team

• Engage effectively with internal teams across the wider State Street investment Management business

Education & Experience

• Degree in Real Estate or a related discipline (or equivalent qualification)

• Strong understanding of asset management and direct real estate investment markets

• Solid knowledge of real estate funds

• Membership of RICS or SCSI is desirable

Specific Technical Knowledge & Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ postgraduate experience, ideally within a real estate organisation focused on Irish, UK, or mainland European commercial Real Estate

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)

• Ability to understand, contribute to, and influence investment and asset management strategies

• Experience in using  Microsoft Excel , PowerPoint and Word , together with Qube and investment appraisal packages  

• French speaker an advantage
