The Opportunity:

P&G has an opportunity for a R&D Packaging Leader to work in our  P&G Ventures business to develop packaging solutions across the Spruce Weed Killer, Zevo Insecticide, or New to P&G Brands. As a Packaging Leader for P&G Ventures, you will drive the design, development, and execution of innovative packaging solutions for new brands. Collaborating across multifunctional teams, you will ensure that packaging delivers against consumer expectations while supporting speed to market and cost objectives. In this role, you will develop and execute packaging strategies, lead the design and optimization of solutions across rigid containers, cartons, and/or device-based packaging forms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and in market support of innovative packaging solutions for new brands within P&G Ventures, ensuring products deliver on consumer expectations of performance.
  • Collaborate closely with multifunctional teams—including commercial organization, product development, engineering, supply chain, and regulatory —to drive packaging projects from concept through commercialization.
  • Develop and execute packaging strategies, leading the design and optimization of rigid containers, cartons, and device-based packaging forms to support speed to market and cost objectives.
  • Evaluate and implement packaging technologies and materials, ensuring solutions are compliant with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards while delivering exceptional consumer experiences.
  • Lead a team of 2 – 4 packaging researchers or engineers.
  • Lead troubleshooting and problem-solving initiatives related to packaging performance, quality, and sustainability, proactively addressing challenges as they arise.
  • Communicate project progress, results, and recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment across teams.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Education Requirement:  Bachelor’s degree in packaging science, engineering or related field.
  • Available to work in P&G Mason Business Center.
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Packaging Innovation Leadership: 5+ years of experience leading packaging innovation or go-to-market teams, with demonstrated expertise in rigid containers, cartons, spray-based packaging, and device packaging.
  • Risk Management: Proven ability to proactively identify potential risks and develop and communicate effective mitigation strategies.
  • Industry Connections: Strong industry network to help discover and bring in new technologies and solutions that are new to P&G for packaging development.
