R & D Hub Manager, India


 

Your role and responsibilities:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the strategic technology direction by contributing your own ideas for identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative technology, software and solutions. Each day, you will assist the Research and Development (R&D) team by executing your assigned tasks and using technical knowledge in a structured way. You will also showcase your expertise by staying abreast of the state of the art and actively applying this knowledge.

This role is contributing to the Motion business IEC LV Motors division in Bangalore & Faridabad, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Coordinate & work with cross functional team for prototype development and testing .

  • Knowledge of IS/IEC standards, Regulations & International Standards

  • Monitoring technology developments and ABB products and technologies, and identifying technical drivers for R&D projects

  • Working to improve operations and increase customer satisfaction according to incoming requests, and providing consulting services to business operations and customers

  • Participating in working teams, disseminating technical/scientific knowledge in projects, and assisting colleagues in applying processes and tools

  • Participating in networks to expand knowledge of the targeted area of expertise

  • Training team members, Production/Quality/technician when needed, and heading up or participating in projects

  • Keeping up to date with technologies, tools and methods, and implementing initiatives to improve operations and customer satisfaction

​Qualifications for the role:

  • B.E or B. Tech in Electrical Engineering.

  • Minimum 5 - 6 years of experience in R&D / Engineering.

  • Must have worked with electrical rotating machines design.

  • Exposure in electrical rotating machines with R&D/Engineering.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Experience of various electrical design tools and software's.
