Our product - LINK is a comprehensive communication and ecosystem app for Rakuten Mobile customers. It offers various services such as calls, messaging, contact management, voicemail, official accounts, news, cash transfers, and point rewards. LINK Desktop enhances the communication experience on PCs and laptops.

Job Duties

The Mid-career Front-End Engineer will join the dynamic front-end team for the Link application. This role requires strong expertise in front-end technologies, especially with modern React frameworks such as Remix, and the ability to understand product specifications and provide constructive feedback. Experience as a full-stack engineer is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Development: Take ownership of front-end development projects, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices.

Collaborate with Team: Work closely with designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver innovative features for the Link application.

Enhance User Experience: Focus on improving the usability and accessibility of the application, ensuring a smooth and engaging user experience.

Product Understanding: Analyze product specifications and requirements, providing valuable feedback to enhance functionality and user experience.

Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their growth and development within the team.

Code Review: Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with team members.

Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in front-end development, particularly in React and related frameworks, and apply them to enhance the Link application.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in front-end development, with a focus on modern web applications.

  • Strong understanding of agile development methodologies. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+).

  • Strong experience with React and modern frameworks such as Remix..

  • Familiarity with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX).

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Full stack experience is preferred.

  • Understanding of common front-end architectural patterns.

  • Experience designing and implementing scalable and maintainable front-end architectures.

  • Experience with performance optimization techniques for web applications.E48

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
