Job Duties

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Operations Coordinator to manage and coordinate international A2P (Application-to-Person) and P2P (Person-to-Person) SMS business operations. This pivotal role will act as the primary contact for aggregators, mobile network operators (MNOs), and other partners. The position focuses on critical partner coordination, efficient traffic management, and seamless operational execution for both the Japanese and broader international markets. While not strictly required, prior telecommunications technical knowledge would be a significant advantage.

*This role have to work at least 1 night shift per week. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business & Partner Operations:

    • Serve as the primary operational contact for SMS aggregators, MNOs, and various partners.

    • Coordinate the onboarding process, testing phases, and day-to-day operations with all partners.

    • Manage traffic flows, address quality issues, and handle operational escalations promptly and effectively.

    • Provide essential operational input to commercial teams regarding routing strategies, pricing structures, and partner performance.

    • Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with both Japanese and international partners.

  • Operational Coordination:

    • Monitor overall service performance and coordinate the resolution of any delivery or quality issues that arise.

    • Ensure strict compliance with operator and market-specific A2P requirements, with a particular focus on the Japanese market.

    • Support initiatives related to hybrid routing and traffic optimization to maximize efficiency.

    • Maintain clear and consistent communication channels between commercial, technical, and finance teams.

  • Process & Performance:

    • Track key operational KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and monitor partner performance metrics.

    • Support the continuous improvement of operational processes and documentation standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Native level of Japanese speaker.(N1 Level)

  • Fluent in English (both spoken and written).

  • Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in A2P SMS business operations, partner management, or messaging services.

  • Proven experience working directly with aggregators, carriers, or CPaaS (Communications Platform as a Service) partners.

  • Background in telecommunications or messaging platforms.

  • Knowledge of SMPP (Short Message Peer-to-Peer) and SS7 (Signaling System No. 7).

  • Experience with traffic reporting, analytics, or RMI-based (Remote Method Invocation) systems.

  • Understanding of SMS firewalls, anti-fraud measures, or route quality management.
