When you work in Freight Logistics and Operations at Kuehne+Nagel, you play a key role in optimising processes and ensuring that inventory and shipments move efficiently. But that is not all. How you create impact
• Operate company vehicle in a safe and professional manner
• Immediately report any negative incidents with other drivers, accidents and customers to Dispatcher or Dispatch Manager
• Load and unload shipments between various destinations as assigned
• Prepares, receives and provides appropriate documentation for delivery or pick up to ensure timely and accurate transportation
• Responsible for vehicle care, cleanliness and required equipment in each vehicle.
• Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines and procedures Upon pick up at shipper or at other locations, the driver should cross reference the information from the BOL or MAWB with the Control Tower, and match that information to the shipment. The information on the address label and pieces and weight much match the information on the BOL or MAWB
• Maintain a valid drivers license
• Ensure shipments are checked in by Dispatcher or Shipping staff when arriving at Base
• Maintain legible detailed accurate manifests and run sheets
• Turn in paperwork at the end of your shift or as dictated
• Ensure vehicle is locked and secure at all times during the shift
• Check-in periodically with Dispatcher to report location and status
• Maintain clean and professional appearance at all times and follow all current security regulations and policies CORP-HR 92.3 (25 Nov 2020)
• To perform any department specific functions as defined by the management team
• To undertake any other reasonable duties/responsibilities at the request of the management team
• The employee is required to frequently lift and/or move packages weighing up to 25LBS throughout a given shift, and to occasionally lift and/or move packages weighing up to 70 LBS
• While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to walk; sit; use hands; reach with hands and arms; balance & stoop to lift packages – including lifting packages from the floor over their head.
• Must be able to operate a pallet jack and forklift
What we would like you to bring
• Excellent communication skills.
• Customer Service experience preferred
• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods/Restricted Article Regulations preferred
• Demonstrate Ability to identify and solve problems.
• Demonstrate written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate knowledge of company policies and procedures
• Time Management: The ability to organize and mange multiple priorities
• Computer Proficiency
• Must possess and maintain Forklift certification
• Must possess and maintain function specific DG certification
• Demonstrate experience in international & domestic airline routings, geography and time zones.
• Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays

Base wage is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
