We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to join us as a Quality Technologist (Packaging Lab). In this role, you will conduct incoming packaging material, packaging line, and finished product checks in bonded and third-party warehouses to ensure compliance with Carlsberg Malaysia’s quality standards. What you’ll be doing

 

  • Perform quality analysis on incoming packaging materials and finished products, including routine testing and QCSPC data entry.
  • Monitor quality performance through trend analysis and initiate corrective actions when deviations are detected.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment by conducting preventive maintenance and calibration according to the master schedule.
  • Manage non-conformance issues by issuing Put On Hold (POH), raising Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR), and following up on resolutions.
  • Conduct warehouse inspections through random checks at bonded and third-party warehouses to ensure product freshness and compliance with First-In-First-Out (FIFO) and quality standards.
  • Coordinate 5S practices within the packaging laboratory and conduct audits to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by actively participating in sectional improvement projects.
  • Provide cross-functional support to Chemical or Microbiology laboratory teams when required and assist with additional tasks assigned by your superior.

Requirements:

 

  • With at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Food Study or equivalent.
  • With 1-2 years working experience in quality control / assurance preferably in a food/beverage manufacturing environment.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Good knowledge in packaging laboratory skills (eg. Analysis, instrument handling, methods and etc.), ISO 9001, Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Must have basic computer skills in Ms Word and Excel.
  • Must be honest, co-operative, able to communicate effectively with good stakeholder management, team player and independent.
  • Must demonstrate quality in his/her work i.e. accurate, thorough and effective.
  • Must be able to work in shift.

4 Crew 3 Shift (7am – 3pm / 3pm – 11pm / 11pm – 7am)
