Quality Specialist – Co-manufacturing & Supply Chain

About The Job Purpose of this role Contribute to the overall management of third-party manufacturers for all the quality and food safety related topics, from the evaluation, selection, and approval of new 3PM partners, until the animation and management of quality and food safety performance of the 3PM partners with co-manufacturing activities for Danone Japan. 3PM partners include non controlled JV under Danone Japan supervision and their 3PM partners. Contribute to the implementation of the “quality in Supply chain” processes, in order to secure the quality and food safety of all Danone products over distribution networks, from Danone Japan Tatebayashi, import warehouses and export, or 3PM delivery locations, to the final customers delivery location. As “Co-manufacturing Quality” specialist, Contribute for all QFS-related topics during the evaluation, selection, and approval process of 3PM partners, under the supervision of the Senior manager, Co-manufacturing and Supply Chain. Supports the R&I team during trials to validate the capability of 3PM partners to deliver products compliant with Danone quality and food safety standards and with Danone Japan specifications during development and pre-launch phases. Ensures that Danone QFS standards are implemented properly at 3PM, and ensure the follow up of the quality and food safety performance of 3PMs after contracts have been signed and productions have started. As “Quality in Supply Chain” specialist, Is supporting the supply chain team in cascading the Danone quality and food safety standards and Danone Japan local requirements in 3PL facilities, including via trainings, audits, and action plans. This includes, without limitation, hygiene, temperature management, traceability management, food defense, digitalization programs and tools… Contributes to the approval of every new 3PL (for both storage and transportation), and for making sure the Danone global and local requirements for supply chain are implemented correctly by 3PL. On top, Is involved in the animation of the Food Safety Management System. Is supporting the audit of suppliers to develop auditing capabilities When required, acts as QFS Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for some of the brand projects and participates to the brand team meetings. Contributes to the iCare Culture of Quality program, internally and externally. About You Education background Scientific background preferred, with knowledge and experience of food processes and food technology. Physics / Chemistry / Microbiology / Allergen management are preferred. Technical Skills and Experiences required Has knowledge of industrial food processes; preferably with the ability to conduct risk assessments evaluating their impact on finished product quality and food safety. Has technical knowledge and experience to conduct audits. Has previous QFS experience, as well as experience of auditing Food Safety and / or Quality Management Systems. Has knowledge of quality management principles, such as risk assessment, technical problem-solving methods, root cause analysis methodology… Proven ability to work collaboratively across multi-functional teams and third parties (co-manufacturers, suppliers, logistic partners).
