No. Aside from the minimum study and eligibility requirements, our Graduates are not expected to have any formal corporate work experience prior to commencing with the Program. All we ask of our future graduates is that they are eager to learn, try new things and ask plenty of questions along the way.

Upon the successful completion of the Qantas Graduate Program, you'll work with the Graduate Program Manager and other relevant stakeholders to identify suitable roles that are available internally. The skills, knowledge and experience gained throughout each rotation, as well as the strong internal network that Graduates build over the course of two years, all contribute to creating opportunities for permanent employment at the conclusion of the Program.

Throughout the Qantas Graduate Program, you will receive formal and informal career guidance. Your Graduate Program Manager, Rotation Managers and Mentors are there to support you for the duration of the Program, as well as throughout the roll-off period at the end of year 2.

Your ongoing development will be a focus throughout the Program. Our Development Program integrates on the job experience, with coaching, formal classroom learning, performance planning and feedback to support a 70:20:10 approach to learning where:

• 70% of learning and development takes place from real-life and on-the-job experiences, tasks, and problem solving.
• 20% comes from feedback and from observing and working with role models.
• 10% of learning and development comes from formal training.

• Be in their final year of study or have completed an undergraduate degree or postgraduate study within the last 2 years.
• Be a permanent resident or Australian or New Zealand Citizen, at the date of application.
• Hold a credit average or above.
• Be available to commence the program at the dedicated start time (typically August or February of each year).
• Be willing to relocate to Sydney for the Program.
