QA Manager (Osaka)
As the QA Team Manager, you will lead quality assurance across multiple products, including our core product. You will be responsible for both people management and the planning and execution of quality strategies to ensure high product quality across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage QA team members, including goal setting, performance evaluation, development, and conducting 1-on-1 meetings
- Define and drive the QA strategy and roadmap
- Design, improve, and optimize quality management processes throughout the SDLC, and promote test efficiency
- Develop and execute test automation strategies
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including Development and SRE teams, to share quality issues and drive improvements, contributing to overall organizational quality enhancement
- Lead QA hiring activities, including hiring plans, interviews, and onboarding
- Manage budget and resources

Organization
You will be part of the JPN-QA team within the Innovation & Engineering Division.
There is also an IND-QA team based in India, and you will work closely with managers in other locations to carry out your responsibilities.

Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in team management
- At least 5 years of experience in web application testing and QA
- Hands-on experience as a QA engineer in test planning, design, and execution
- Experience in introducing and driving test automation initiatives
- Strong knowledge and practical experience in software quality management
- Japanese: Business-level proficiency
- English: Conversational level or above
Nice to haves
- Experience in building a QA team or scaling a QA organization
- Hands-on experience with test automation using frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
- Experience integrating and operating tests within CI/CD environments
- Experience in web application development (backend and/or frontend)
- Management experience in a startup or agile environment
- Experience collaborating with global teams across different time zones and cultures
