M A Analyst PwC Services Portugal (PSP) is a joint venture between PwC Luxembourg and PwC Portugal, serving as an integral extension of PwC Luxembourg. PSP provides a range of services, including Assurance Audit (spanning all industries, with a particular focus on Real Estate and Private Equity), Broader Assurance Services, Tax (including Managed Services, Corporate Tax, VAT, and Accounting), and Advisory (specializing in Consulting, Regulatory and Deals Strategy). Your mission: As an M A Associate based in Porto, you will be an integral part of PwC’s leading Deals and Strategy platform, contributing to the execution of high-impact M A transactions across Europe. Working closely with our Luxembourg Deals team, you will support corporate and private equity clients throughout the full M A lifecycle, from origination to execution. In this role, you will analyse business fundamentals, assess value drivers, build financial models, support deal structuring, and prepare key client deliverables that guide critical investment decisions. You will operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, gaining exposure to complex, cross-border transactions across diverse industries. This position offers a steep learning curve, direct client exposure, and the opportunity to shape strategic outcomes on transformational deals. Be a part of our team where you will: Support the end-to-end M A process, including market and company research, preparation and drafting of marketing materials (teasers, information memorandums, management presentations, etc.). Perform detailed financial modelling and valuation analyses (DCF, multiples, transaction comparisons) to support buy-side and sell-side engagements. Assist in deal structuring by preparing process documentation, indicative offers, and supporting materials for negotiations. Coordinate and support due diligence processes (financial, commercial, tax, legal), ensuring seamless information flow between clients, counterparties, and internal PwC teams. Prepare clear and compelling client deliverables such as pitch decks, process updates, valuation reports, and strategic analyses aligned with PwC quality standards. Work collaboratively with Luxembourg teams through regular calls, workflow planning, and proactive communication. Perform data-driven analysis using financial statements, KPIs, and operational metrics to identify trends, risks, and value creation opportunities. Let’s talk about you. If you have … Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field. 1–3 years of experience in M A investment banking, corporate finance, financial analysis, or a similar analytical role. Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret financial data and derive strategic insights. Advanced Excel financial modelling skills: familiarity with Alteryx, Power BI, or Python is considered an asset. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to thrive in collaborative, remote, and cross-border team environments. A proactive mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality, client-focused work under tight deadlines.
