Financial Due Diligence Analyst PwC Services Portugal (PSP) is a joint venture between PwC Luxembourg and PwC Portugal, serving as an integral extension of PwC Luxembourg. Our growing team operates as an acceleration centre supporting PwC Luxembourg’s clients. PSP provides a range of services, including Assurance Audit (spanning all industries, with a particular focus on Real Estate and Private Equity), Broader Assurance Services, Tax (including Managed Services, Corporate Tax, VAT, and Accounting), and Advisory (specializing in Consulting, Regulatory and Deals Strategy). Your mission: As a Financial Due Diligence Analyst based in Porto, you will join PwC’s leading Deals and Strategy platform, contributing to high-impact M A engagements across Europe. Working closely alongside our Luxembourg Deals team, you will support the delivery of rigorous financial analyses and strategic insights that help clients make informed and confident investment decisions. In this role, you will dissect business performance, assess value drivers, identify risks and opportunities, and help shape the narrative behind the numbers. You will be part of a dynamic, high-performing team operating at the intersection of finance, strategy and execution, supporting transformational transactions across a wide range of industries. This position offers a fast-paced environment, a steep learning curve and significant exposure to complex cross-border mandates where your work will have a visible impact. Be a part of our team where you will: Perform financial due diligence procedures, including analysis of historical performance, quality of earnings, working capital trends, cash flows and net debt positions. Support the review of VDD reports and contribute to top-up analyses addressing specific client questions and scope areas. Prepare clear working papers, financial schedules, bridge analyses and summary outputs in line with PwC methodology and quality standards. Assist in the preparation of client deliverables (reports, slides, data books) with a focus on accuracy, clarity and business insight. Collaborate seamlessly with Luxembourg teams, engaging in regular calls, workflow coordination, and proactive communication on progress and issues. Support data extraction, cleansing and analysis from trial balances, general ledgers, management accounts and other financial datasets. Contribute to continuous improvement of tools, templates and automation initiatives (Alteryx/Python/Power BI, etc.) to enhance efficiency and analytical depth. Let’s talk about you. If you have … Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field. 1–3 years of experience in audit, financial analysis, transaction services, accounting, or a similar analytical role (Big-4 experience is an advantage). Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles (IFRS/LuxGAAP is a plus) and key M A due diligence concepts. Solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and identify trends, issues and insights. Advanced Excel skills; experience with Alteryx, Power BI, or Python is considered an asset. Excellent communication skills (spoken and written) in English; other European languages (French/German) are a plus.
