Proofreader (German language)

We are Quarks, a Ukrainian company that creates products and technologies in the field of Social Discovery & Relationship Wellness. We focus on developing safe and effective solutions for meeting people and building meaningful relationships. We also work on services for marketing, analytics, and moderation.

Our flagship product is Kismia, a dating app with over 80 million users across 20+ locations worldwide. For over 13 years, we have been helping people find their unique path to relationships through intuitive design, smart algorithms, and a safe space.

We are currently looking for an experienced Proofreader (German language) to review the app's existing content and make the overall text feel more natural and engaging for the user.

You will have the following tasks:

Project and scope assessment
Reviewing the product's tone of voice and guidelines
Proofreading content
Feedback round on proofreading results to identify recurring issues in translations

What is important for us:

2+ years of experience in proofreading/editing in German
Preferably experience in digital products / apps / marketing content localization
German level: native, English: advance
Strong command of German grammar, style, and punctuation
Understanding of UX writing / product copy
Experience with CAT tools (Crowdin or similar)

It will be a plus for us if you have:

Experience in dating / social / consumer apps
Experience working with tone of voice / brand voice
Understanding of copy A/B testing
Experience with large-scale projects (10k+ words)
