Business Overview
Rakuten Wallet, Inc. is a cryptocurrency exchange and Type 1 Financial Instruments Business Operator within the Rakuten Group, Inc.
We launched our spot cryptocurrency trading service in August 2019. In December of the same year, we introduced a service allowing users to exchange "Rakuten Points" for cryptocurrencies. Furthermore, in March 2020, we commenced a margin (leverage) trading service, enabling transactions beyond the funds held.
Additionally, users can invest in cryptocurrencies by exchanging "Rakuten Points" earned through various Rakuten services. This service has become popular as it allows individuals who may be hesitant to invest with cash to easily start cryptocurrency trading.
Rakuten Wallet, Inc. has also made it possible for users to easily charge the cryptocurrencies (such as Bitcoin) managed through our spot trading service into the e-money "Rakuten Cash." This e-money can then be used at "Rakuten Pay" (app payment) and "Rakuten Point Card" affiliated stores in physical locations.
Department Overview
System Department operates on two main pillars: 'planning, development, and implementation of new services' and 'operation and maintenance of existing services.' Our responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks, including the launch of new in-house services, ensuring their stable operation after implementation, and daily improvement activities from a customer perspective. We play a crucial role in driving our business forward by collaborating with other departments within the company.

Mandatory Qualifications
- 4 years+ experience in project management related to system development.
- Project experience involving mission-critical systems (in management, operations, or development).

Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working in the cryptocurrency industry.
- Experience working in the financial industry (e.g., banking, securities).
- Experience in system operations.
- Experience in system development (applications, servers).
- Experience using cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS).
