Salary: UofG Grade 7, £41,064 - £46,049 per annum, pro rata

This post is part-time (17.5 hours per week), and open ended with funding available for up to 30 months in the first instance.

The University of Glasgow has been changing the world for more than 570 years, and today we are one of the world's top 100 universities. We are delighted to have recently been awarded Scottish University of the Year by the Times & Sunday Times Good University Guide 2024.
Our people have always been at the forefront of innovation, and our past achievements inspire our current world changers.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join the School of Health & Wellbeing on a part-time basis. The post holder will support the planning and delivery of the NIHR evaluation of welfare grants in pregnancy and the early years across the UK. This research project examines the impacts of welfare grants in pregnancy and the early years on maternal and child health inequalities.

The post holder will work with Professor Ruth Dundas and Dr Anna Pearce, and other colleagues both within University of Glasgow and other Universities across the UK. This is a complex mixed-methods project that uses a wide range of cross-UK administrative health records to estimate the impact of the welfare grants on maternal and child health and health inequalities, using natural experimental evaluation methods; as well as extensive interviews with families, stakeholders from a range of sectors and those with lived experience of parenthood and welfare grants.

The successful candidate will be expected to project manage and support the direction of this complex and challenging project based within the Department of Public Health in the School of Health and Wellbeing. The postholder also be expected to support other studies as required.
Informal enquiries are welcomed and should be directed to Ruth Dundas at [email protected]
