At Amazon Logistics (AMZL), we manage the critical final leg of our delivery journey - from our Delivery Stations (DS) directly to customers' doorsteps. As a Program Manager in our Network Planning team, you'll drive strategic initiatives that balance network expansion with operational optimization. You'll use scientific approaches and data analytics to determine not just where to expand, but how to create the right-sized delivery stations with optimal capacity at the right time and location. This role goes beyond simple network growth - it's about creating an intelligent, efficient delivery network that maximizes customer satisfaction while maintaining operational excellence.

Key job responsibilities
• Lead strategic network planning initiatives, balancing expansion opportunities with optimization requirements to enhance delivery speed, cost, and customer experience across Japan
• Analyze complex data sets and work closely with topology data analysts to identify, prioritize, and execute high-impact network improvement projects
• Evaluate and adapt global best practices and tools from NA/EU markets, customizing solutions to maximize effectiveness for the Japanese market context
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Engineering, Account Management, Planning/Forecasting) to implement new network topologies and drive strategic initiatives
• Develop and maintain analytical models to forecast network capacity requirements and optimize resource allocation
• Design and execute pilot programs to test innovative delivery network concepts while ensuring data-driven validation
• Drive continuous improvement through multi-project management, maintaining quality standards while meeting critical deadlines
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence, or experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
- Experience identifying and solving complex problems through data analysis
- Track record of driving process improvements and optimization initiatives.
- Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence, or experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
