KBR is seeking a highly experienced professional to support the Secretary of War’s (SecWar) Acquisition Transformation Initiatives within the Armament Directorate. This role is focused on the engine of transformation: identifying, engineering, documenting, and deploying the organizational processes and systems that drive mission execution and data-driven decision-making. Working across a broad Government organization, the selected candidate will be instrumental in fusing complex data into actionable intelligence and ensuring the successful adoption of modernized workflows and governance structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with senior leaders across the organization, drive the implementation of revised organizational, systems and operational processes required to implement Acquisition Transformation, providing the hands-on change management support necessary to ensure cross-functional adoption and long-term sustainability.
- Engineer, document, and deploy standardized acquisition workflows, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and playbooks to modernize lifecycle management across the Directorate.
- Facilitate cross-functional working groups to identify process inefficiencies, bridge organizational gaps, and refine governance structures across multiple teams.
- Partner with Directorate stakeholders to champion new digital tools and business rhythms, ensuring consistent communication and role clarity during periods of organizational change.
- Lead organizational change management activities, including stakeholder impact analysis and the development of engagement strategies to minimize resistance to new processes.
- Execute data fusion activities by aggregating disparate technical, financial, manufacturing, and contracting data streams into centralized digital environments to create a "single source of truth."
- Develop and maintain high-fidelity dashboards, scorecards, and predictive metrics that translate complex programmatic data into actionable decision-support products for senior leadership.
- Monitor the health of newly implemented processes, identifying opportunities for iterative refinement based on program performance and user feedback.
- Support the integration of next-gen weapon systems by ensuring all programmatic data, schedules, and risks are aligned with Directorate-level strategic roadmaps.
- Draft strategic communications materials, including executive-level messaging, talking points, and briefing decks that articulate transformation progress to senior Government leadership.
- Synthesize complex technical and operational data to support high-level acquisition decision analysis and major program reviews.
- Ensure compliance with established governance and recurring business rhythms, maintaining the rigor of the Directorate’s oversight and execution frameworks.
- Manage and update critical program artifacts, such as risk registers, action trackers, and integrated master schedules, to ensure real-time visibility into program execution.
- Research and benchmark best practices in acquisition approaches and digital toolsets from across the Department of War and industry to continuously improve Directorate operations.

- Location: On-site (Eglin AFB, FL)
- Travel Requirements: Low, 10-15%
- Working Hours: Standard – Core hours 0900 - 1500
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Program Management, Management, Operations, or related field
- 8+ years of experience supporting defense acquisition, program management, program integration, digital transformation, or related activities
- Strong understanding of defense acquisition, program execution, and stakeholder coordination
- Demonstrated ability to independently identify issues, develop recommendations, and communicate effectively with senior Government leadership
- Experience supporting teams and managing multiple workstreams in support of Government customers
- Experience integrating technical, schedule, cost, contracting, and operational information to support program decisions
- Experience developing processes, metrics, dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reports
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive-level briefings and reports
- Active DoD Secret clearance required
Desired:
- Prior experience supporting weapons, munitions, missile, or air defense programs
- Experience supporting Government program offices, PEOs, laboratories, or operational organizations
- Familiarity with digital engineering, data analytics, dashboards, business intelligence tools, or program integration platforms
- Experience with strategic communications, executive support, and leadership messaging
- Familiarity with integrated master schedules, risk management, action tracking, and program performance metrics
- Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Program Management, or related field
- PMP certification or similar professional credential
- TS/SCI eligibility preferred
