To strengthen our manufacturing team responsible for instrument manufacturing and consumables we are looking for a

Production Supervisor (m/f/d)

In this role you will focus on leading our manufacturing operation team within the instrument manufacturing division at Agilent Technologies, located in Waldbronn, Germany. You will be responsible for production KPIs and continuously improve the production environment.

Your major responsibilities:

  • You facilitate the development, planning, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes, and operations for new or existing products and technologies.
  • You establish and/or implement business plans and technical project objectives to meet the short- and long- term goals of the production organization.
  • You lead manufacturing teams along the Agilent values to reach departmental goals like production capacity, product quality, on-time delivery, and gross margin development.
  • You work closely with quality groups to ensure strict compliance with manufacturing practices guidelines.
  • You prepare documentation, reports, and standard operating procedures.
  • You may manage the new product introduction process, including prototype build and ramping of the new product to volume production.
  • You are accountable for key metrics, which may include revenue, customer satisfaction and quality goals.
  • You report progress and raise issues out of your team. You define operation requirements on production process data analytics based on SAP MES.
  • Together with your colleagues you ensure safe and streamlined production environments by effectively utilizing material, equipment, and trained personnel. You strive for a continuous improvement - and best place to work culture across our organization.

Qualifications

  • Master, mechanical technician, or engineer of science with at least 5 years of experience in a leading position in manufacturing industry.
  • Excellent communication written and verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong passion for people and organizational development. Experience in leading change processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and decision-making abilities to drive conclusions within cross-functional teams.
  • Extensive knowledge of product specifications and production standards.
  • Project management experience in a technology field with a track record of working with cross-functional teams

Additional skills and qualifications:

  • Knowledge in analytical instrument and consumable manufacturing processes.
  • Technical experience in automation processes, machinery, and equipment.
  • Experience in implementation of new production equipment in collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Detailed, goal oriented and self-consistent working methods.
  • Experience in working with international teams and across different time zones.
