Production Supervisor, 3rd Shift

As a Production Supervisor, 3rd Shift, you will oversee daily activities of production area to ensure that volume, cost, and quality standards are achieved. You will ensure safe production of material that meets customer and quality system requirements. You will ensure staff follow safe work practices; engage across technical, production and non-technical personnel; and coordinate staffing levels to support efficient production sequences.

You will be located at the PPG plant in Springdale, PA. You will report to the Operations Manager and will work 3rd shift schedule Sunday-Thursday from 10PM-6:30AM and be on a weekend shift rotation.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for process safety management systems and safe operation of equipment; directly accountable for personnel safety, quality, scheduling, and customer service issues related to production.
• Administrative tasks such as daily timekeeping and production records, log maintenance and printing labels, are encouraged.
• Lead all aspects of to improve plant measurements and manufacturing operational metrics and be a technical resource to production personnel in troubleshooting, problem resolution and process improvement.
• Housekeeping, training, emergency response, and plant management coverage are additional responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred but required.
• 3+ years of production/manufacturing experinece required.
• 6+ years of experience of a leadership/supervisory responsibility preferred.
• Oversee a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes.
