Your Role:

The Production Design Engineer at the Allentown PA site will be responsible for evaluating and designing complex and unique solutions for high-purity specialty gas and chemical delivery systems. This role involves executing product configurations that meet safety and functional requirements while supporting the technical needs of the front office and commercial teams. Job duties include: 

  • Develop and implement configured-to-order (CTO) designs, adhering to a modular design philosophy to enhance flexibility and efficiency in product offerings.
  • Develop and implement improvement plans aimed at cost reduction and enhancing operational efficiency, utilizing automation tools to streamline processes and increasing front-office productivity.
  • Configure and process customized equipment orders to meet customer requirements while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Create and maintain product documentation, including bill of materials, specifications, and schematics suitable for manufacturing and customer use.
  • Support the sales organization by providing scope and pricing guidelines for engineered-to-order and non-standard equipment configurations.
  • Configure equipment software to align with system specifications.
  • Provide technical support during the design and operational phases to front office, production planning, and quality teams.

 

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or other Engineering disciplines.
  • 3+ years of experience with mechanical or electrical systems in a manufacturing environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in SolidWorks and GD&T to create precise, industry-standard technical drawings and product configurations.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills; able to align with business needs and priorities while effectively communicating and collaborating in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of theoretical flow calculations and flow control systems.
  • Proficient in reading and creating P&ID, manufacturing CAD models, and drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Experience in continuous improvement methodologies; Six Sigma Greenbelt certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with high-purity gas or chemical delivery system equipment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of excelling in a fast-paced, multi-priority environment.
  • Experience with SAP and task automation tools.
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and/or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling tools
  • Proven ability to manage projects independently as a self-starter while maintaining a highly collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Pay Range for this position: $85,800.00 - $128,800.00

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
