Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in management consulting, product management and strategy, or analytics in a technology company.
  • Experience working with and analyzing data.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience providing objective, data-driven decision support and strategic advice to stakeholders and executives.
  • Experience with data visualization, other data analytics, and with SQL.
  • Ability to operate independently, solicit feedback from stakeholders at the right times, and keep multiple high-priority initiatives moving forward simultaneously.
  • Ability to create compelling narratives, influence a range of audiences, including executives, and to build trust and partner effectively with leaders.
  • Excellent communication, and project management skills.

Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.

The Strategy and Analytics team for Google One and Google Photos is a critical partner to leadership, enabling better business/product decisions, accelerating execution, and delivering insights to drive subscription and engagement growth. Together, Google One and Photos form the foundation for Google’s flagship subscription anchored in storage and AI-powered experiences to unlock the best of Google.

We seek a strategic, analytical individual who thrives in fluid, high-stakes environments.

In this role, you will navigate ambiguity, bring order to chaos, demonstrate operational excellence, and synthesize complex information into actionable executive insights.

Key responsibilities include crafting executive-ready, data-driven narratives regarding performance, goal, and roadmap across slides, documents, and emails. This role requires a blend of investigative and strategic thinking, operational excellence, and strong cross-product area and cross-functional partnership skills across levels.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$181,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Deliver business updates and insights to executive-level meetings and communications. Partner directly with the Director of Strategy and Analytics and the Chief of Staff team to develop strategic narratives and create compelling, data-driven decks, documents, emails, and more.
  • Partner with Strategy, Data Science, Product, Engineering, UX, PgM, Finance, Marketing, Partnerships, and the Chief of Staff teams to define, measure business and product growth, health through an organization-wide Staples cadence. Identify growth opportunities, inform product roadmap and strategy.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor and thought partner to the business and product leadership team, provide objective analysis and insightful recommendations on critical business challenges.
  • Develop and implement streamlined processes to improve operational efficiency and communication with key stakeholders.
