Product Owner Banking Operations (Bangkok)
Brand New Day | Pension-focused neo/fintech bank in the Netherlands
Location: Bangkok, Thailand (travel to Amsterdam at least three times per year)
About Brand New Day
Brand New Day is a Dutch neobank that helps people save and invest for their pension. As an online bank, we work in a strictly regulated environment and are supervised by the Dutch central bank. Reliable banking and payment operations are essential to how we serve our customers. We build a large part of our software in-house and have engineering teams in both Amsterdam and Bangkok.
What will you do as a Product Owner Banking Operations?
You’ll own the banking operations domain. This includes ordering, banking, payments and client administration processes. Front-office client journeys are owned elsewhere. You own the operational execution behind them. You work closely with cross-country scrum teams and stakeholders in Operations, Finance, Risk/Compliance and IT. You set priorities, make trade-offs and translate complex banking and payment needs into a clear, ordered backlog that engineers can execute.
This is not a purely strategic role. You are expected to work hands on and actively write and refine user stories when needed. Sound judgment and domain knowledge in a regulated banking context are essential.
