About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to manage a portfolio of products and drive execution from solution exploration through development and delivery/release. This role partners closely with Product Management, Product Design, Product Documentation, Engineering, QA, and Customer Support to ensure high‑quality outcomes and predictable delivery. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and thrives in fast‑paced Agile environments.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Product Owner
- Proven experience managing multiple products or a product portfolio
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery practices (SAFe/Scrum/Kanban)
- Excellent communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working with cross‑functional teams across geographies/time zones
Core Responsibilities
Feature Backlog Ownership
- Own and maintain a prioritized, ordered product backlogs
- Break epics into well‑defined user stories with Product Managers
- Ensure all backlog items communicate clear user and business value
- Define explicit acceptance criteria
- Identify and manage inter‑team and cross‑product dependencies
- Regularly prunes outdated, low‑value, or redundant backlog items
Sprints & Schedules
- Lead backlog refinement (grooming) sessions
- Actively participates in sprint planning
- Answer scope and requirement questions in real time during development
- Maintain sprint focus and guards against scope creep
- Review estimates, capacity, and schedules with product leadership
- Proactively escalate delays, risks, and blockers to Product and Engineering leadership
Acceptance & Quality
- Validate stories against defined acceptance criteria
- Review completed work with Engineering and QA
- Formally accept or reject stories
- Capture learnings and outcomes to inform backlog reprioritization
- Enable internal use initiatives (aka dogfood)
- Enable customer betas / external releases (test flight, beta mgmt.)
- Contribute to retrospectives on bugs and quality issues, including root‑cause analysis
Delivery & Go/No-Go Metrics
- Define release exit criteria and go/no‑go metrics in partnership with Engineering, Product, and Leadership
- Ensure end‑user documentation is drafted, reviewed, and ready for release, including how‑to guides, configuration steps, known limitations
- Ensure internal documentation is updated and current, including:
- Operational runbooks, Known issues. Escalation paths
- Ensure Customer Support enablement, including:
- Knowledge base (KB) articles, Feature overviews, Common questions. Known issues and workarounds
- Ensure release enablement assets are prepared and delivered, including:
- Release notes, feature flags, rollout and enablement instructions
Tools & Technology
- Agile and product management tools such as Aha!, Jira, and Confluence
What Success Looks Like
- Backlogs are consistently prioritized, refined, and execution‑ready
- Delivery timelines are predictable and risks are surfaced early
- Releases meet defined exit criteria and go/no‑go metrics
- Quality issues decrease over time through clear acceptance and root‑cause learning
- Stakeholders have confidence in delivery and visibility across the product portfolio

This job is position is hybrid at our Belgrade, Serbia office.
Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of our total compensation package that also includes equity, benefits, and other opportunities at HYPR. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other HYPRions. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at HYPR to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors.
