PRODUCT OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE

Pune HQ April 13, 2026 Full Time

About Nexus

At Nexus, we help organizations turn complex data into clear, actionable insight — so the hard work behind artificial intelligence, analytics, and cloud infrastructure doesn’t slow innovation down… it accelerates it.

We’re a team of builders, problem-solvers, and collaborators who believe in moving fast, learning continuously, and doing great work together. Our role is to handle the heavy lifting of modern data platforms, governance, and cloud transformation so our clients can focus on making confident, strategic decisions that move their businesses forward.

We’re proud of the culture we’re building across the U.S. and India — one rooted in curiosity, ownership, collaboration, and care — and we’re excited to keep growing with people who want to do meaningful work alongside genuinely great teammates.

We’re hiring a Product Operations Associate to embed directly within our Product Engineering organization and help build the operational backbone of how we plan, execute, and ship. This isn’t a project coordination gig. It’s a high-agency role for someone who thrives on creating structure where there is none, identifying what’s falling through the cracks, and driving follow-through across a fast-moving technical team.

You’ll report directly to our Senior Technical Program Manager and become a force multiplier—taking operational work off a bottlenecked plate, improving how work flows through the organization, and contributing to what Product Operations becomes as a function over time.

If you’re an early-career operator who wants to build, not just maintain—this is the role.

Why This Role Exists

Our product engineering team is scaling quickly, and the operational demands of that growth have outpaced one person’s bandwidth. Our Senior TPM currently drives product roadmap planning, engineering operations, cross-functional delivery coordination, tooling, and a significant enterprise initiative—all while serving as the connective tissue between engineering, architecture, leadership, and customer-facing needs.

The work is getting done. But the volume means that important process improvements, documentation, operational follow-through, and planning hygiene are getting squeezed. We need a sharp, organized operator to absorb that load, bring additional structure, and help the team move faster with fewer gaps. This person will report directly to our Senior TPM and operate as an extension of that role.

This role is the first step toward building a Product Ops function on our team.

What You’ll Do

Product Development Operations

• Run and support weekly product development standups and planning cadences

• Organize, structure, and maintain work in Linear—turning rough ideas, feature requests, and technical needs into clean, actionable workstreams

• Prepare work items for review and approval by leadership and our Chief Architect before sprint planning

• Support backlog grooming and improve planning hygiene across the team

• Ensure work is clearly scoped, visible, and progressing—surface blockers early and follow up relentlessly

• Identify gaps in execution: work that’s stalled, unclear, under-resourced, or falling between teams

Process & Workflow Improvement

• Build and refine repeatable operating cadences, templates, and systems that make the team more effective

• Improve how work flows through the product engineering organization without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy

• Help optimize our tooling stack (Linear, GitHub, Notion, Slack) so it supports how the team actually works

• Create better visibility into what is in progress, what is blocked, and what is coming next

• Propose and implement lightweight process improvements that compound over time—not process theater

Documentation & Communication

• Maintain and improve internal product documentation, operating materials, and team knowledge bases

• Support customer-facing product documentation where relevant

• Keep plans, status updates, and cross-functional communication artifacts current and accurate

• Create clean, structured communications that keep stakeholders aligned without requiring meetings for everything

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Support roadmap operationalization by helping translate strategic priorities into structured delivery plans under the direction of the Senior TPM

• Coordinate across engineering, architecture, and leadership to keep initiatives on track

• Serve as a reliable operational point of contact for cross-team handoffs, dependencies, and follow-ups

• Help improve how the product engineering function communicates status, decisions, and tradeoffs to the broader organization

What We’re Looking For

1–3 years of experience in product operations, technical program support, project coordination, startup operations, or a BizOps / Strategy & Ops role supporting technical teams

Exceptional organizational skills—you naturally create structure and can manage multiple workstreams without dropping threads

Strong written communication—you write clearly, concisely, and for the right audience (engineers, leadership, customers)

Proactive and high-ownership mindset—you don’t wait to be told what needs to happen; you identify it and move

Comfort with ambiguity—you can take a loosely defined need and turn it into something structured and actionable

Good judgment on process—you know the difference between helpful structure and unnecessary overhead

Ability to work with technical stakeholders without needing to be an engineer—you can speak the language enough to be effective

Nice to Have

• Experience working in or alongside product engineering teams at a startup or high-growth company

• Familiarity with modern product development tools: Linear, GitHub, Notion, Slack, Google Workspace

• Exposure to AI-native workflows and tools like Claude for operational productivity

• Experience with product roadmap planning, sprint operations, or release coordination

• Familiarity with B2B / enterprise software environments

• A background in technical program management, consulting, or operations at an early-stage company

Who You Are

You’re the person who notices what’s not working before anyone asks. You build the spreadsheet, the tracker, the doc—not because someone assigned it, but because the team needed it. You follow up without being asked. You bring structure to messy situations and do it without slowing the team down.

You’re not looking for a role where you just run ceremonies and check boxes. You want to understand how the whole system works, learn from senior technical leaders, and grow into someone the team relies on to keep things running well.

You’re early in your career and eager to learn fast. But you already punch above your weight—people give you real work because you handle it, and you’re looking for a place where that gets recognized and developed.

Why You’ll Love Working at Nexus

At Nexus, we value people who want to grow — and support each other while doing so.

You can expect:

  • A collaborative team culture built on curiosity and respect

  • Challenging work where your contributions clearly matter

  • A leadership team that invests in learning and development

  • The opportunity to work at the intersection of cloud, data, and AI innovation
