Product Manager

Hybrid | Full-Time | Atlanta, GA

About the Job

Here, we partner with forward-thinking organizations in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry to push the boundaries of how the built environment is designed and delivered. As the premier full-service management advisory firm exclusively focused on the built world, we combine domain expertise with leading-edge technology strategy to solve real problems at scale.

We are seeking a Product Manager to serve as the critical link between our engineering team and the transformation consultants and portfolio companies (portcos) who use our products daily. You’ll own the product discovery process—spending time with portco teams to deeply understand their workflows, pain points, and opportunities—and translate those insights into clear requirements that drive our product roadmap. As the product matures, you’ll increasingly support adoption and rollout, ensuring that what we build actually lands with the teams who need it most.

This role is ideal for someone early in their product management career who thrives at the intersection of business and technology. You’ll work directly with our CTO and engineering team while maintaining close relationships with transformation consultants and portco stakeholders—giving you a rare, full-picture view of how software products are shaped, built, and deployed in a high-impact industry context.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct product discovery by embedding with portco teams and transformation consultants to understand AEC workflows, identify pain points, and surface opportunities for product improvement.

• Translate user research and stakeholder feedback into well-defined feature requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria documented in Notion.

• Own and maintain the product backlog in Linear, including prioritization, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release coordination in close collaboration with engineering.

• Serve as the voice of the customer in engineering discussions, ensuring that product decisions are grounded in real user needs and business context.

• Perform quality assurance testing as a product owner, validating features against specifications and ensuring a polished user experience before releases.

• Support product adoption and rollout across portcos by developing rollout plans, creating user-facing documentation, and gathering post-launch feedback to inform iteration.

• Monitor cloud infrastructure costs and resource utilization, surfacing insights and optimization opportunities to the engineering team.

• Coordinate cross-functional communication between engineering, the transformation team, and portco stakeholders to keep projects aligned and on track.

• Conduct build-vs-buy analyses by researching vendor solutions, evaluating integrations, and preparing recommendations for the team.

• Create and maintain product documentation, including release notes, user guides, and internal knowledge bases that support both engineering and portco teams.

• Contribute to process improvements that enhance team velocity, product quality, and the feedback loop between portcos and engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.

• 1–3 years of experience in product management, technical project management, or a closely related role (consulting, solutions engineering, or technical operations experience valued).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to synthesize qualitative user feedback into actionable product requirements.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage credibly with both engineers and business stakeholders.

• Proficiency with product and project management tools such as Linear, Notion, GitHub, or similar platforms.

• Solid understanding of agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and software development

• Comfort working in ambiguity and building processes from scratch in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Genuine curiosity about technology and a desire to understand how software products are architected, built, and delivered.

• A collaborative, low-ego approach—willing to do the detailed work of backlog management and QA testing alongside higher-level strategic thinking.

Preferred Qualifications (A plus, not a requirement)

• Experience working with or within the AEC industry, construction technology, or owner’s representative

firms.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and basic understanding of infrastructure cost

management.

• Exposure to AI/ML products and an understanding of how machine learning capabilities translate into

user-facing features.

• Experience with software testing methodologies or QA processes.

• Background in consulting, transformation programs, or change management.

• Coursework or certifications in product management (e.g., Pragmatic Institute, AIPMM, or similar).

• Understanding of APIs, databases, or software architecture at a conceptual level.

• Experience managing stakeholder relationships across multiple teams or organizations.

What You’ll Gain

• A foundational product management role where you’ll shape products from discovery through delivery in a

fast-growing AEC technology company.• Direct exposure to how transformation consulting and technology product development intersect—a rare

combination that accelerates PM career growth.

• Mentorship from experienced engineers, product leaders, and strategists with expertise in AI, cloud

infrastructure, and the built environment.

• The opportunity to build lasting relationships with portco teams and see firsthand how your product

decisions impact real construction and design workflows.

• Experience with modern product and engineering tools used by high-performing software teams.

• A seat at the table in a startup where product decisions have outsized impact on company direction.

Why us?

Here, the Product Manager isn’t sitting in a silo writing tickets—you’ll be in the field with portco teams understanding how they work, then back with engineering shaping what we build next.

We believe the best products emerge when the people building them have genuine empathy for the people using them, and this role is designed to make that connection real. You’ll work on problems that matter, in an industry undergoing fundamental digital transformation, with a team that values initiative, clarity, and practical impact over process theater.

If you’re an early-career PM who wants to own real product outcomes—not just manage a backlog—and you’re energized by the challenge of building products at the intersection of AI and the built environment, we want to hear from you.
