We are looking for a Product Compliance and Safety Program Manager who is strategic, influential, and rigorous to join our Industrialization and Network Planning team, within Transformational Program & Infrastructure, based at our UCB campus located in Braine l’Alleud, Belgium.

About the role:

You are going to play a key leadership role in shaping and driving product compliance and safety initiatives (Compliance domain: Pharma & Health-Safety Regulated Substances & Impurities) across the organization. You will act as a deputy to the Program Lead, own critical compliance processes for selected regulations, and lead high‑impact initiatives that ensure regulatory readiness. You will influence global standards, anticipate regulatory changes, and embed a culture of compliance and continuous improvement across UCB.

Who you will work with:

You will work closely with cross‑functional teams across I&NP, Quality, Health Safety & Wellbeing,  CMC Development,  Technical leadership teams, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, Supply Chain. You are going to collaborate with senior leaders, external regulatory bodies, and industry associations, positioning you at the center of decision‑making and global compliance strategy.

What you will do :

  • You will own and evolve global compliance processes for critical regulations within the scope of the Product Compliance & Safety governance and emerging requirements.
  • You will design and improve compliance frameworks, governance models, and safety standards.
  • You will monitor regulatory trends and assess business impact proactively.
  • You will lead complex, cross‑functional compliance implementation projects.
  • You will represent UCB in regulatory forums and industry working groups.
  • You will drive change management, training, and engagement to embed compliance culture.

Interested? For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience, and skills:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in pharma or biotech, within compliance, quality, or regulatory roles.
  • Proven leadership of cross‑functional and global programs.
  • Strong knowledge of global regulations, ICH guidelines, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to operate strategically while delivering concrete, compliant outcomes.
