Purpose of the Role

 

As a Procurement Specialist you will be responsible for executing the end to end Source to Pay (S2P) process, supporting strategic, and operational sourcing activities. You will ensure compliance with internal policies, and driving value through cost optimization, supplier performance management, and process efficiency. Your role requires strong analytical capability, stakeholder management, and excellent command of procurement systems particularly SAP Ariba S2C.

 

 

Responsibilities of the Role

 

  • Strategic Sourcing & Category Support

 

  • Support category managers in developing sourcing strategies for indirect spend categories (e.g., Marketing, IT, Professional Services, Facilities).
  • Conduct spend analysis, market research, and supplier benchmarking.
  • Manage RFI/RFP/RFQ processes via SAP Ariba S2C.
  • Evaluate supplier proposals using structured frameworks.

 

  • Contracting & Compliance

 

  • Draft and review supplier contracts (MSA, SOW, PO terms).
  • Coordinate with Legal, InfoSec, and Risk for contract reviews.
  • Ensure documentation complies with Procurement and regulatory requirements (IC, AMLA, Data Privacy, internal controls).

 

  • Supplier Management

 

  • Support performance evaluations, scorecards, and vendor risk assessments.
  • Resolve operational issues between internal stakeholders and suppliers.

 

  • Procurement Operations

 

  • Create and manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders in SDP (local procurement tool).
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and reports.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.

 

  • Data Analytics & Reporting

 

  • Prepare monthly procurement dashboards (savings, cycle time, compliance).
  • Conduct advanced data analysis using Excel (pivot tables, Power Query, formulas, modeling).

 

 

Requirements for the Role

                                                                                                                  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related fields
  • 3–4 years’ experience in Procurement or Strategic Sourcing
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Analytical and data-driven decision-making
  • Stakeholder engagement and vendor relationship management
  • Process orientation and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple sourcing events concurrently
  • Experience in financial services or insurance industry
  • Certification: CIPS, CPSM, or relevant training
  • Proficient in MS-Office, familiar with procurement systems SAP Ariba S2C (events, sourcing, contracts) and ERP platforms
  • Knowledge in contract law, vendor risk management, or category strategy.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot analysis, Power Query)
  • Experience with AI-driven adaptive learning technologies and data analysis for personalized training.
  • Proficiency in using AI tools for content recommendation, automated assessment, and feedback.
