Procurement Officer
Job Purpose:
The Procurement Officer is responsible for managing local suppliers, purchasing materials and goods, and ensuring accurate stock control in coordination with the store team. The role supports smooth daily operations by maintaining the right inventory levels and building strong relationships with reliable suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Source, evaluate, and manage local suppliers to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
Prepare and process purchase orders according to company procedures.
Monitor and control stock levels in coordination with the store and warehouse teams.
Track deliveries and resolve any supplier or logistics issues promptly.
Maintain updated supplier databases, price lists, and purchase records.
Work closely with the store team to forecast demand and prevent overstocking or shortages.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and health & safety standards.
Support internal audits and prepare inventory or procurement reports as required.
Contribute to process improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in procurement, inventory, or store management.
Fair communication skills in English.
Strong negotiation, organization, and time management skills.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and inventory management systems (ERP knowledge is a plus).
Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently.
