JOB SUMMARY
The Lead Processing Agent is an essential role for processing harvest materials. The ideal candidate must have demonstrated experience working in an operation that adheres to strict health and safety policies and procedures. Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience working in cannabis processing or similar manufacturing environment. Candidates must be physically able to sit, stand and kneel for periods of time exceeding 4 hours.
CORE JOB DUTIES
- Accurately input and maintain data related to production, inventory, and compliance using METRC.
- Operate, maintain and troubleshoot machine trimming equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Ensure all processing activities comply with state and federal regulations, as well as internal policies. Conduct regular audits and report any discrepancies.
- Act as a mentor to new and existing staff, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and confidence. Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication.
- Conduct product inspections and collaborate with the quality assurance team to address any issues.
- Regularly check and maintain optimal environmental conditions in the dry room, including temperature, humidity, and air circulation to ensure proper drying of harvested cannabis.
- Monitor and evaluate the productivity of processing staff through observation and data analysis.
- Ensure all processing activities adhere to GMP standards, including wearing appropriate PPE, cleanliness, organization, and operational procedures.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Experience in training, leading and/or mentoring staff or new hires preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict policies and procedures.
- Ability to measure, package and label in a precise manner.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in cannabis processing or a related role within the cannabis industry.
- Requires work around plant material, which could include exposure to plant pollen and/or dust.
- Requires ability to sit, stand, and/or do repetitive actions with your hands for long periods of time.
- Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs to torso level.
- Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment.
