Responsibilities

  • Actively engage in TCOS program and initiatives
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections to ensure equipment is safe and ready for operation
  • Operate heavy/mobile equipment such as pay loaders, skid steers, and forklifts in a safe and efficient manner
  • Assist with the operation of the dryer and shredding processes, ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently
  • Transport, stage, and store materials using proper handling procedures
  • Load and unload trucks, including dross trucks, using mobile equipment while following all safety and material-handling guidelines
  • Identify and sort aluminum for proper grading and processing
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to reduce hazards and ensure safe workflow
  • Communicate with team members regarding equipment status, safety concerns, and operational needs
  • Perform all other tasks assigned safely and efficiently

Qualifications

  • Strong commitment to workplace safety with a clear understanding of and adherence to safety rules, procedures, and regulations
  • Ability to safely operate mobile equipment
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and industrial environments
  • Some heavy lifting required
  • Self-motivated team player with excellent attendance and reliability
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
