Private Wealth Adviser
Position Summary
This role is accountable for the delivery of advice and managing client relationships to facilitate an excellent level of client service. This person will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of HNW clients through the provision of tailored structural, financial and investment solutions. Working closely with a team of support staff, this person will be well placed to deliver an exceptional client experience, while fulfilling their passion of helping clients achieve their financial goals.
This role can be located in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia; Melbourne, Victoria, Australia; Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of HNW clients through the provision of ongoing holistic financial advice.
- Understanding clients’ immediate needs, long term objectives and level of comfort with risk.
- Provide financial advice across a broad spectrum of needs including retirement planning, investment planning, insurance needs, intergenerational wealth transfers and philanthropy.
- Conduct meetings/reviews with all clients and develop/adjust the overall investment strategy.
- Provide quality and trusted financial advice.
- Serve as the focal point for clients to assist with complex decisions around protecting and growing their wealth, structuring their investments, and balancing competing business or wealth demands.
- Investigate alternative strategies and recommendations and continue to strengthen the relationship with the clients.
- Ensuring accuracy and compliance of client files and advice documentation
- Assist providing guidance and technical direction to paraplanners and implementation staff.
- Drive ongoing business development activities with potential and new client opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- At least 1-2+ years’ experience as a Financial Adviser, with a focus managing HNW client portfolios.
- Be passionate about servicing clients and interested in an opportunity for the long term.
- Comply with the Qualifications Standard to be able to appoint as a Financial Adviser (Retail)
- Strong compliance, technical knowledge around legislative and regulatory requirements to provide quality advice in the client’s best interest.
- Advanced understanding of investment products, taxation, retirement & estate planning and risk management and insurance
- An ability to handle a client book and be comfortable with multi-tasking.
- Strong sense of professionalism and a client-centric approach.
- Highly motivated with an ability to convert referrals to clients.
- Organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Exceptional client focus.
