Principal Architect - Azure

Our vision is the same, a place where employees know they can thrive. Position Purpose We are seeking a seasoned Principal Architect – Azure to serve as a trusted advisor for enterprise clients. This role combines architecture, client consulting, and delivery oversight, with accountability for designing scalable, secure, and high-performing Azure-based solutions. The incumbent will operate at a sponsor/executive engagement level, influence solution strategy, and drive successful delivery of medium-to-large, complex transformation programs. Key Responsibilities  Client Engagement ·        Partner with Sales and Delivery to shape solution strategy, develop technical roadmaps, and contribute to client proposals. ·        Establish credibility as a trusted technical advisor at executive/sponsor levels. ·        Lead consultative discussions on architecture decisions, trade-offs, and design implications. ·        Translate complex technical concepts into business-aligned outcomes. ·        Present solutions in a persuasive, business-focused manner tailored to diverse audiences. ·        Challenge constructively and assert professional opinions when warranted. Architecture & Project Delivery ·        Lead medium-to-large scale technical requirement elicitation, solution design, and scoping workshops. ·        Architect and define standards for high-complexity Azure solutions. ·        Decompose requirements into actionable tasks and provide accurate effort estimations. ·        Identify risks proactively and collaborate with PMs and leadership on mitigation strategies. ·        Oversee technical execution and guide consultants to remove delivery impediments. ·        Maintain a consistent track record of successful enterprise project delivery. Technical Expertise ·        Azure Compute (PaaS, Containers, AKS) ·        Data storage strategy (relational & non-relational) ·        Messaging & event-driven architecture ·        API design & management ·        Integration patterns & microservices ·        AI & Search implementations ·        DevOps / Platform Engineering ·        Performance, scalability, reliability & release strategies ·        Identity & Access Management (application-centric) ·        Monitoring & Observability ·        Fluency in Windows and/or Linux Operating Systems Competency ·        Strategic Architecture Leadership – Defines enterprise-grade Azure architecture strategy, establishes standards, and drives scalable, secure, and high-performance solution design. ·        Executive Stakeholder Influence – Operates as a trusted advisor, effectively engaging sponsor-level stakeholders and translating complex technical concepts into business outcomes. ·        Delivery & Risk Governance – Ensures successful program execution through proactive risk identification, mitigation planning, and delivery oversight across complex engagements. ·        People & Thought Leadership – Mentors senior engineers, fosters technical excellence, and contributes to innovation, best practices, and capability building within the practice. ·        Consultative & Results Orientation – Demonstrates strong business acumen, accountability, and a client-first mindset, consistently driving measurable impact and value realization. Technology Stack ·        .NET Core, C# ·        Python / Node.js (preferred) ·        Frontend frameworks (Angular, React, Blazor or equivalent) ·        Mobile (Flutter, React Native – nice to have) ·        ORM (Entity Framework / Dapper) ·        CI/CD & Infrastructure as Code (IaC) ·        Git, GitHub/ADO, pull request workflows ·        Automated testing frameworks ·        Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban – principles over mechanics) Education, Experience and Certification ·        Engineering Graduate from Computer Sciences (all streams), Electronics and Communications with a min of 80% aggregate. ·        12+ years of overall experience in software engineering and cloud architecture ·        5+ years in Azure architecture and consulting-led engagements ·        Experience working with enterprise or Fortune 500 clients ·        Strong documentation, presentation, and communication skills ·        Minimum three Microsoft Azure certifications across Application Development, DevOps, AI/ML, or Architecture tracks ·        AZ-204, AZ-400, and AZ-102 highly preferred
