As the face of our customer, here’s what you will do:
Whether our customers are traveling for business or pleasure, you are the professional in the airport that crafts important connections and encourages an environment where everyone feels welcome, valued, and respected. You will be interacting with our domestic and international customers in our lobbies and at gates, helping them with ticketing, baggage, greeting customers as they start and end their journey and doing it with a smile. You will provide friendly, professional, confident, and insightful service to help resolve customer travel issues and make their experience memorable.
Job overview and responsibilities
The Premium Services Representative (PSR) provides an exceptional level of personalized service for United’s premium customers including but not exclusive to Global Services members, United Club Customers, Polaris Customers, and key high-value customers during day-of-travel. Duties align with United's Core4 values and help to drive a peace of mind for these customers’ travel experience. - Interacting with customers in a kind and useful manner is key to crafting memorable experiences and building customer loyalty and dedication
- Stepping up and anticipating customer needs while maintaining a strong sense of responsibility when we have inconvenienced a customer
- Working each and every day with a safety mentality by ensuring we hold ourselves and each other to the highest standards
- Navigating challenges by being steady yet adaptable. Maintaining composure and managing issues while not taking customer frustration personally
- Working collaboratively with others, supporting your colleagues, and helping them be successful with new processes and technologies
Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Strong Customer Service, hospitality, or equivalent experience
- Comfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and new technologies specific to Premium Services
- Ability to interact professionally and courteously with all customers including VIPs, CEOs and other top-level executives
- Physical ability to stand and walk for an eight-hour shift, as well lift and handle baggage, bend to reach low locks, ability to use escalators, elevators, and ascend and descend stairs
- Basic skills in the use of Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel
- Must be flexible to work any shift during a 24/7 work week including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to acquire a SIDA badge and meet airport requirements for badging
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Ability to meet the Company attendance standards and uniform and appearance standards
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
- Proficiency in additional language(s) preferred – encouraged to utilize these skills when applicable
- 3+ years Customer Service Representative experience in airport services
