MISSION

To ensure the end product's quality meets the customer’s specifications, by monitoring and controlling the different production process stages.

GENERAL FUNCTIONS

  • With production, define; support and follow-up on indirect labor work in quality tasks, regardless its functional dependency.
  • Analyze quality data (ex. scrap, re-work, product and process capacities, etc.) and create the necessary synergies to work on continuously improving results.
  • Communicate problems that arose in production processes at Plant Quality Meetings, and propose action plans to fix them.
  • Verify the effectiveness of the actions defined to solve quality problems.
  • Supervise the work of Inspectors in charge of finished goods with final audit, and track and manage their results.
  • Analyze measurement needs according to production process needs.
  • Maintain and manage the metrology and calibration systems.
  • Look for the effective use of quality system program modules.
  • Take part in preparing clients visits, according to the guidelines set by the Customer Support Engineer.
  • Coordinate the Plant Quality and Environmental System, not only maintaining the quality system in its areas of responsibility, but also training and auditing the staff responsible for the quality system in each of the business areas.
  • Conduct internal plant process audits after presenting an annual audit plan to the Plant Committee.
  • Prepare third-party audits as a representative coordinator of the Plant Quality Manager.
  • Suggest improvement activities as part of the annual Plant Quality Plan, based on historical process issues, trends in data quality analysis, potential problems or future needs.
  • Implement annual improvement plan activities under his/her responsibility.
  • Take part in project teams, giving his/her opinion on the quality of the process to the Launch Leader, through the established channels.
  • Provide support to other Quality Department service needs, in order to work in a coordinated way.
  • Observe Ficosa’s Code of Ethics to avoid fraudulent practices. Comply with Information Security Management System (ISMS) applicable to the job, along with the training related thereto.
  • Actively cooperate in maintaining, promoting and improving the OHSE and Quality department.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Academic background:  

Bachelor’s degree in engineering

Languages:   Advanced English (spoken & written)
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar position

OTHER SPECIFICATIONS

Additional training:

Knowledge in current legislation as IATF, automotive standards, basic VDA core tools, Customer Specific Standards and risk basic thinking.Knowledge of quality and environmental systems would be of additional value
