To support our growth, we are looking for a Maintenance Support Engineer to join our team. The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for servicing and maintaining our electro-mechanical equipment, including Daniels’ robotic washline, autoclaves, boilers, and various other equipment to support site operations both locally and regionally. This role will oversee the daily cleaning and upkeep of the Baltimore facility by direct leadership of the custodial employee.
Maintenance Engineers start up, regulate, repair, and shut down equipment. They monitor meters, gauges, and computerized controls to ensure that equipment operates safely and within established limits. They use sophisticated electrical and electronic test equipment to service, troubleshoot, repair, and monitor heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. Maintenance engineers also perform routine maintenance. They may completely overhaul or replace defective valves, gaskets, or bearings. In addition, they lubricate moving parts, replace filters, and remove soot and corrosion.

What you will do
Daily hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, service, and repair of on-site industrial equipmentCommunicate with the Service and Engineering team to arrange spare parts, travel schedules, and overall supportAssemble, align, and install equipment and machine upgrades, as necessary, while adhering to timeline and budgetRoutinely inspect equipment to ensure that it operates efficiently and safelyAssist with other leadership functions in the building, as the business needs.Communicate with facility leadership to arrange planned downtime to complete maintenance activitiesRecord data and keep logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activity to generate weekly reports detailing completed tasks and outstanding itemsMaintain spare parts inventory at the Sturtevant facility in partnership with plant management to ensure plants are stocked effectivelyCover for other Supervisors and Managers during callouts or vacationsWhat we are looking for
Experience: Maintenance experience in mechanical assemblies, boilers, autoclaves, and production equipmentWelding, experience with basic repair workElectrical, ability to identify and repair electrical issues and communicate fault conditionsExperience in supervising employees in entry-level roles (preferred)Skills: Ability to troubleshoot PLC controlled machines, with telephone supportOperate engines, boilers, and auxiliary equipmentRead gauges, meters, and charts to track boiler operationsAbility to use computers, tablets and smart devices proficiently; navigate Excel spreadsheets and computer-based reporting such as Maintain-X and Myosh; write reports in MS Word and maintain computer-based documentation.Why work for us
