Plant Buyer

Qualifications University degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field Strong knowledge of SAP and experience working with ERP systems in a purchasing or supply‑chain environment Fluent English skills, both written and spoken High level of flexibility, with strong organizational and time‑management abilities Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional teams Interest in and commitment to continuous improvement, purchasing optimization, and process efficiency Structured working methodology, with strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities Responsibilities Execution of local purchasing tasks in coordination with Lead Buyer and Purchasing Manager Location Local market research for commodities IT, services and tooling Local customs declaration and fiscal declaration ( quartely, yearly basis) Operational supplier management Close communication and coordination with Commodity Manager Lead Buyer Execution of local purchasing tasks and global purchasing targets Alignment of price, cost project related topics with CM Lead Buyer (e.g. through Lead Buyer concept) Support CM Lead Buyer in annual price negotiations Maintenance of purchasing data of the location Execute purchasing requisitions and purchase orders day-by-day Invoice verification / clarifying price differences Handle escalations of quality and logistics issues at the location Coordinate purchasing subjects in projects of the plant in alignment with Lead Buyer and Commodity Manager Conduct and communicate supplier evaluation out of plant perspective Local contract management Claim management for the location
