Pipefitter / Welder - 24266

Overview

We are seeking a Pipefitter / Welder for assignment in Tucson, Arizona. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks in the preventive and corrective maintenance, repair of equipment, instruments, processes and support systems of a Central Utility Plant on an assigned shift.

Hours are Monday - Friday,  7:00am - 3:30pm

** This position requires strong welding experience along with solid pipefitting skills **

Responsibilities

- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair critical facility equipment to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations

- Inspect, maintain and repair motors, pumps, valves, plant systems, supporting infrastructure and related mechanical systems

- Conduct brazing, soldering and welding as needed on plant and facility systems

- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, sketches and specifications

- Install new equipment and interpret wiring diagrams, codes and technical documentation

- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve system reliability and extend equipment life

- Maintain accurate work orders and asset data in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

- Safely operate aerial lifts, scaffolding, forklifts and other mobile equipment

- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

- High School Diploma or GED

- A valid Drivers License

- 5+ years experience in industrial mechanical maintenance, pipefitting and welding

- Knowledge of safety procedures (LOTO, PPE, confined space etc.)

- HVAC experience is a plus
