People Partner About the role At Aon, we shape decisions for the better – to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world. Within our Belgian organisation, we are looking for a People Partner. This person will act as a strategic partner to leaders. The focus will be learning, capability building, and development. Aligned with Aon’s global People Partner job architecture, this role bridges business priorities and people strategy. You will work closely with people leaders and the People Organisation operations to build future‑ready skills, strengthen leadership capability and embed a balanced learning culture across Belgium. This role combines strategic impact with hands‑on execution, and plays a key role in enabling organisational effectiveness through people development. Professional proficiency in Dutch, French and English is essential. Key Accountabilities Strategic People Partnering Partner with business leaders to understand strategic priorities and translate them into learning, development and capability needs. Act as a trusted People Partner, advising leaders on people development, talent growth and long‑term capability building. Contribute to workforce and succession discussions from a capability and skills perspective. Policy Implementation & Collaboration Work in close partnership with People Organisation operations to ensure seamless employee experience. Ensure alignment with global people policies, frameworks and governance. Implement and embed global People Organisation policies, programmes and initiatives at local level. Support operational people activities in partnership with the People Organisation and people leaders, e.g. the performance cycle (goal setting and calibration support, performance improvement guidance), compensation cycle (salary review preparation, pay equity inputs, promotion/bonus recommendations), and talent acquisition (role scoping within the Global Career Framework, interview panels, offer alignment and onboarding coordination). Participate in cross‑functional people projects and initiatives within Belgium and the wider organisation. Learning & Capability Strategy Design and implement a local learning and development approach aligned with Aon’s global people and learning frameworks. Identify current and future skill gaps and define targeted development solutions for employees, leaders and high‑potential talent. Build clear learning pathways that support career growth, internal mobility and leadership readiness. Skills and Experience 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, Learning & Development, Talent Management, Organisational Development or a comparable HR Business Partner role. Demonstrated experience in organisational change, collaborator management and complex advisory work. Solid knowledge of Belgian employment law and employee relations practices. Experience designing and facilitating learning programmes and development interventions. Strong collaborator management and influencing skills, with credibility at management level. Strategic approach combined with pragmatic, hands‑on execution. Passion for developing people and strengthening organisational capability. Full working proficiency in Dutch, French and English.
