About the role
We are looking for a proactive, people‑focused People Advisor to join our People team based in Perth. This is a great opportunity for an HR generalist who enjoys supporting leaders, managing a range of people-related employee relations matters, and contributing to positive workplace outcomes.
Reporting to the Principal People Partner, you will provide practical, day‑to‑day HR advice and support across the employee lifecycle. You’ll work closely with operational leaders to deliver people initiatives, support recruitment and onboarding, and provide guidance and assistance during performance and conduct processes.
This role offers excellent exposure across the business, with the opportunity to support multiple Iluka sites, providing valuable insight into different operations and stakeholder groups. The role is Perth‑based, with site travel approximately every 6 weeks, or as required by operational and business needs.
Your accountabilities will include:
Deliver practical, day‑to‑day HR advice and support to leaders and employees
Manage employee relations matters end‑to‑end, including performance and conduct issues
Support recruitment, onboarding and probation processes
Partner with leaders to deliver people initiatives, engagement actions and change activities
Facilitate and support training and capability‑building activities
Ensure compliance with employment legislation, policies and HR processes
Use HR systems to manage cases, data and reporting
Build strong relationships with leaders, employees and the broader People team
About you
Experience working in a generalist HR or People Advisor role, supporting a range of people matters
Tertiary qualification in human resources or related discipline
Exposure to Australian employment legislation and employee relations practices
Confident communicator with the ability to handle sensitive conversations with discretion
Organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple priorities
Ability to read, interpret and provide analysis on HR data
Comfortable working with HR systems and people data
Willingness to travel to sites in WA approximately every six weeks, with occasional ad hoc travel to other sites across Australia
