Payroll/Time and Attendance Analyst
The Payroll Analyst is an important member of the EMEA Payroll team. The Payroll Analyst will be focused on executing complex processes associated with the payroll operations. This role will be responsible for supporting the payroll operations in the compilation and uploading of complex data inputs, reviewing data inputs prior to the processing of payroll and reconciling payroll outputs to ensure accurate and compliant payrolls across the assigned markets.
Finally, The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for serving as an agent of change to transform current payroll operations to achieve the target service delivery model. They will work closely with business partners in understanding requested changes and submitting them to the payroll vendors, testing results and migrating to production.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Investigate, validate, correct, and provide employee support with overpayments/underpayments when identified/required.
Respond to complex employees/manager inquires through the Case Management system; handles escalated situations.
Adhere to policies, procedures, and standards across assigned markets and within the local regulatory context.
Execute complex activities associated with the input and payroll, such as data analytics, reporting requests, audits and the processing of expat payroll data
Liaise with payroll vendors to process payroll accurately and timely as well as coordinate system configuration changes (system change requests) include requirements gathering, documentation, testing, training, and communications.
Partner with regional representatives from other functions (e.g., HR, Finance, Treasury, IT) to participate in the resolution of complex payroll issues and new processing enhancements or legislative changes.
Support Finance/Accounting with complex questions on the reconciliation of general ledger interface issues
Partner with other members of the Payroll Services Team to identify operational payroll improvements opportunities documenting the recommendation and presenting to leadership.
Work with Government authorities on audits and requests
Lead special payroll projects (e.g., M&A activities, Open Enrollment, vendor change requests) and cross-functional projects with payroll dependency.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- BA/BS degree preferred
- 2+ years’ payroll experience
Knowledge of Spain and Italian payroll principles, practices, regulations, and procedures
Knowledge of basic accounting practices and procedures
Knowledge of applicable state and federal payroll and related social security and tax regulations, legislation and guidelines
Skill in performing detailed computations independently
Experience in execution of operational process improvements including documentation of current state, recommendation and cost/benefit savings
Skill in both verbal and written communications
Proficient user of with Excel knowing how to use complex calculations
Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple concurrent priorities
Independent worker and collaborative team player
Experience working with payroll vendors, highly preferred
