Accountabilities:

  • Supervise and support payroll operations to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing across all employee groups.
  • Manage complex payroll activities including incentives, commissions, garnishments, shift differentials, and escalations.
  • Ensure compliance with union collective bargaining agreements and applicable payroll regulations.
  • Oversee resolution of payroll escalations and provide guidance to payroll processors and analysts on complex issues.
  • Monitor payroll KPIs and metrics to assess performance, data integrity, and operational efficiency.
  • Manage processing of garnishment orders and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Support payroll operations during special scenarios such as disaster relief or high-volume periods.
  • Provide technical expertise on payroll systems and support the creation of complex ad-hoc reporting and data analysis.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze payroll data and provide actionable insights for operational improvements.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and support training development for payroll teams and stakeholders.
  • Requirements:

    • Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience in a complex or high-volume environment.
    • Strong understanding of end-to-end payroll processes, including garnishments, commissions, and incentive structures.
    • Experience working with union environments and collective bargaining agreements is highly preferred.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret payroll data and resolve discrepancies.
    • Experience managing payroll systems and providing technical support to payroll teams.
    • Ability to create and interpret reports, metrics, and dashboards to support decision-making.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage escalations effectively.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
