Accountabilities:
- Supervise and support payroll operations to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing across all employee groups.
- Manage complex payroll activities including incentives, commissions, garnishments, shift differentials, and escalations.
- Ensure compliance with union collective bargaining agreements and applicable payroll regulations.
- Oversee resolution of payroll escalations and provide guidance to payroll processors and analysts on complex issues.
- Monitor payroll KPIs and metrics to assess performance, data integrity, and operational efficiency.
- Manage processing of garnishment orders and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Support payroll operations during special scenarios such as disaster relief or high-volume periods.
- Provide technical expertise on payroll systems and support the creation of complex ad-hoc reporting and data analysis.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze payroll data and provide actionable insights for operational improvements.
- Lead process improvement initiatives and support training development for payroll teams and stakeholders.
- Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience in a complex or high-volume environment.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end payroll processes, including garnishments, commissions, and incentive structures.
- Experience working with union environments and collective bargaining agreements is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret payroll data and resolve discrepancies.
- Experience managing payroll systems and providing technical support to payroll teams.
- Ability to create and interpret reports, metrics, and dashboards to support decision-making.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage escalations effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Competitive annual salary range of $86,700 – $130,100 USD depending on experience.
