What You’ll Do:

  • Draft high-quality patent applications in the life sciences domain, with a focus on small molecule therapeutics
  • Prepare patent specifications using experimental data, technical reports, and inventor inputs
  • Develop and refine claim sets to ensure strong and defensible IP protection
  • Analyze patentability, landscape, and whitespace searches to assess invention scope and positioning
  • Collaborate closely with scientists, inventors, and IP professionals across India and the US
  • Manage multiple drafting projects simultaneously, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and timely delivery
  • Contribute to the growth and strength of Enveda’s global patent portfolio

    • What We’re Looking For:

    • M.S. or higher degree in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, or a related field
    • 3+ years of experience drafting patent applications in life sciences, especially small molecule therapeutics
    • Strong understanding of chemical structures, including Markush representations
    • Proven ability to translate complex scientific data into clear, precise patent language
    • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across interdisciplinary teams

      • Nice to Have:

      • Experience in drug discovery or organic synthesis research
      • Ability to independently manage a patent drafting docket
      • Familiarity working with global IP teams (US/India)
      • Patent Agent registration
