Achieve annual sales quotas measured in gross profit
Develop new business and expand the customer base within the assigned territory
Conduct customer needs assessments, including technical requirements, production volumes, pricing, and competitive analysis
Generate new leads each month to support territory growth
Prepare customer proposals, deliver presentations, and provide accurate quotations based on a thorough needs analysis
Negotiate effectively to maximize profitability while maintaining strong customer relationships
Provide exceptional customer service by anticipating problems, proposing innovative solutions, and leveraging internal resources
Maintain organized plans to manage time, track leads, and ensure accountability of call activity
Collaborate effectively with team members and manager to achieve territory and company objectives
Experience, Education and Skills
Bachelor’s degree preferred in technical, engineering, business, or marketing OR a 2-year technical degree or relevant certification—preferably in fluid power OR equivalent combination of experience and training will be considered
2+ years of industrial sales experience, with at least 1 years in fluid power sales
Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales goals
Experience in value-added solutions sales
High mechanical aptitude with application and troubleshooting experience in fluid power systems preferred
Knowledge of automation/motion control a plus
Strong consultative selling, communication, and relationship-building skills
Computer and technology proficient including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ability to learn and effectively use CRM systems and related apps.
