Our recruitment process

Our recruitment approach is guided by transparency, consistency, and fairness to ensure every applicant is assessed based on their relevant skills, experience, and capabilities in relation to the role. This process aligns with our Inclusion and Diversity Policy and reflects our dedication to creating an equitable and welcoming workplace for all.
Phone screening
Once we have reviewed your application, for those with relevant skills, experience and qualifications, an initial phone screening will be conducted by one of our Talent Acquisition team members.
Situational & behavioural
based interview
If successful, you will be invited to a face-to-face or virtual interview to understand how your skills and values align to our culture and the role.
Psychometric testing
Depending on the role you applied for, you may be invited to complete a psychometric test. Our psychometric test is an objective behavioural assessment that assists in measuring your suitability for the role and Evolution and understands your working styles.
Additional interviews or site visit
You may be invited to attend additional interviews and/or a site visit.
Offer
Once interviews are completed, our team will be in touch via a phone call with the outcome of your application. If you are successful, we will provide a conditional offer pending pre-employment checks.
Pre-employment checks
We undertake pre-employment checks. In Australia, pre-employment checks include a medical and a Federal police check. In Canada, the pre-employment check includes a medical and criminal history check.
You will receive a confirmation once you have fulfilled pre-employment requirements.
Onboarding
Your Evolution employee experience commences prior to starting with us. You will be asked to complete onboarding documents. If your role is site-based, you will be required to complete a PPE request form and relevant site-based inductions prior to commencement.
1 week before start
Your manager will contact you to confirm day one arrangements including site or office access.

Is there an induction program for employees?
All employees are welcomed to Evolution with an introduction to our company and a welcome pack. You’ll also be required to undertake inductions prior to and at commencement to learn about the site, safety, our culture, your role and the people you’ll be working with to ensure you have every opportunity to perform at your best.

Can I email my application directly to the Talent Acquisition team?
All applications must be submitted online via our careers page. This allows us to easily manage your application, and assess your skills and experience against the opportunities we have. You are able to easily edit any details in your profile.
Can I apply for more than one job at a time?
Yes. You are welcome to apply for any of our job adverts that you believe match your skills, career goals and aspirations.
If I’m unsuccessful this time, can I re-apply?
Yes. Don’t feel discouraged if this happens. It can take time to get the right role that fits your skill set. Your details will remain in our system, therefore our Talent Acquisition team may reach out to you for other opportunities across Evolution relevant to your experience.
