About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in Oracle Single Instance, Oracle RAC, TDE, DR drills, performance tuning, upgrades, and crossplatform migrations.

The ideal candidate should be handson, proactive, and capable of managing largescale enterprise database environments with high availability and strong performance requirements.

MustHave Skills

Strong handson experience with Oracle Single Instance and Oracle RAC environments.

Experience performing DR Drills, TDE (Transparent Data Encryption) Implementation, and recovery activities.

Strong skills in Oracle Database Performance Tuning.

Education: BE / B.Tech / B.Sc IT / B.Sc Computer Science.

Strong troubleshooting, RCA, and proactive monitoring skills.

GoodtoHave Skills

Oracle OCA / OCP certification.

Experience working on large enterprisescale database infrastructures.

Understanding of security tools such as Oracle Vault, TDE Wallet, etc.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oracle RAC & Upgrades

Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC 11g, 12c, 18c including:

RAC architecture

RAC networking

RAC background processes

Cluster troubleshooting

Perform endtoend Oracle upgrades:

10g 11g

11g 12c

12c 18c

2. Installation, Migration & Configuration

Perform crossplatform Oracle database migrations.

Install, configure, and implement Oracle 11g / 12c / 18c following industry best practices.

Database creation, user/role management, schema maintenance.

Apply PSU patching regularly and maintain standardization.

Work with infra teams to ensure proper CPU, memory, and storage allocation.

3. Backup, Recovery & Security

Handson experience with:

RMAN backup/restore

Export/Import (Data Pump)

TDE, Oracle Vault, Wallet management

Ensure database security, audit compliance, and encryption policies.

4. Performance & Capacity

Manage large RDBMS environments with proactive monitoring.

Perform holistic performance tuning across instance, SQL, and OS layers.

Conduct capacity planning, resource estimation, and optimization.

5. CrossDatabase Exposure

Basic conceptual knowledge of:

MySQL

MariaDB

PostgreSQL

MongoDB

IBM DB2

Ability to work in 247 support, including weekends as per demand.
