Operator Technician (Nights - 600)

This is a 12-hour Nights position (6:00 PM-6:00 AM), working on a 2-2-3 rotational schedule, requiring you to work every other weekend. 

 

The APU Operator I is responsible for the packaging of molded and/or assembled components per company and customer specifications 

RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

  • Operate Molding, Assembly or packaging equipment as required per Product specifications.  

  • Package & label product per customer specification  

  • Perform visual inspection to identify gross defects and confirm product meets customer specifications 

  • Report identified visual defects to Cell Leader 

  • Enter daily production and scrap data into BMS  

  • Complete production and workstation documentation as required  

  • Move products to designated areas in WIP/ airlocks 

  • Order components through SAP from warehouse, scan WIP components with RF gun (Cell Lead Duties) 

  • Supply assembly machines with components (Cell Lead Duties) 

  • Completion of LRPs, including opening and closing of lots, ensuring all paperwork is mistake free.  

  • Maintain clean workspace and 5S Standards in work area daily/weekly/monthly 

  • Maintain Lean initiatives and participate in lean projects  

  • Provide suggestions and take active role in Process Improvements to eliminate non-value-added activity  

  • Support and maintain all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO Standards, Health and Safety  

  • Requirements, Continuous Improvement, GMP and standard work procedures  

  • Other duties as assigned  

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:  

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent (preferred) 

  • Able to frequently lift up to 50lbs. 

  • Stand and walk 90% of shift 

  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, grab and climb 

  • Satisfy vision testing requirements of the job 

 

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: 

  • Basic math skills 

  • PC skills 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

  • Works in a clean manufacturing and warehouse environment that may include moderate noise levels
